This loco has the distinction of being one of the longest surviving class 970 2-8-0 Consolidation having served until being scrapped in June of 1951. Most in the class were hit by the scrapper's torch in the late 1940's. Built by Baldinw in 1906 (serial #29797), it served for nearly 45 years.
