CNW 4-6-2 #608 - Chicago & North Western         
With steam up and a full load of coal in the tender, CNW 4-6-2 Pacific #608 is ready to roll. Built by Alco-Schenectady in December of 1915 as CNW 1608, it was later shortened to CNW 608 in 1952. No final disposition date was found for the loco. Specs - serial #55538, class E, 75" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylidners, engine wt of 261,000 lb, tractive effort of 36,700 lb. A stoker was applied in October of 1943. No photographer was listed for the photo.
