Originally built as a 65-ton switcher for the US Army in July 1944, this loco was modified into a 75-tonner while it worked for Gulf Oil. Here it is shortly after it was aquired for preservation with an Anthracite Railroads Historical Society reporting mark. The date of 11/14/1988 on the slide appears to be inaccurate compared to other photos of WKS 602, so the listed date is approximate. Hans Kuring photo, from the Ralph L.
