Album Info:Here are several original photos of Pennsylvania Railroad subjects by Mr. Douglas C. Jones that were taken at and near the East Altoona Coaling Tipple in the Juniata section of Altoona, Pennsylvania, circa 1957. The actual order of succession is not recorded. All of these images come from negatives that I purchased during several eBay auctions conducted by Mr. Jeffrey K. Frangione in May, June, and July of 2021.

Note that its main driving rods have been removed in preparation for movement to the Recycling Center.

Description:  Here is the second of two original photos by Douglas C. Jones that were taken East of the Coaling Tipple in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1957. At the left, the end of a westbound mixed-cargo freight train passes the Westbound Receiving Yard visible above it. In the center, a departing eastbound freight train passes ANTIS Tower on its way to the Enola Yards. At the right, a string of loaded hopper cars awaits motive power to pull it to Eastern markets. And at the far right, a number of deadlined steam locomotives await their fate.
