Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of (L to R) Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9778 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9778 is an EF-15A constructed in February of 1951. Looks to me like this photo was taken from the last car of a train moving in the same direction. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded. Description:
BN F9A #9816 (ex-NP #6704A, nee-#7013D), F9B #9819 (ex-NP #6709B, nee-#7010C), and F7A #9780 (ex-NP #6511A) are the power for an unknown eastbound passenger train departing St. Paul Union Depot. This could be the NORTH COAST LIMITED, as besides the ex-NP power, the first car is an ex-NP baggage-express (likely equipped with water tanks for the steam generators in the F Units), the second car could be either ex-NP #430 (2nd) oy ex-CB&Q #479, nee-NP #430 (1st), and the third car is ex-NP as well. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a duplicate 35mm slide, brand is unknown. Photographer is unknown.

Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #9451, #9654-B, and #9803. #9451 is an FF-16 built by Fairbanks-Morse in 1950 and rated at 1,600 horsepower. #9654-B is an EH-15 built by EMD in 1950 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. #9803 is an EF-15A built by EMD in 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. They are passing ALTO Tower with a 66-car mixed-cargo freight train on their way to the Altoona Yards. The caboose is #477395.
