Title:
PRR 2-8-0 #7010
Description:
As the only photo in the group with information on the back, it was interesting to read the unknown photographer's comment - "Way freight on bridge on south of Sunbury, Pa, on east side of River" - obviously the Susquehanna River. This was an H10s Consolidation built between 1913-16. No photographer credit was listed unfortunately. Sure knew a great spot to catch some action except for the telephone wires that look like scratches on a negative!

Description:
Here is one of the later H-10s Consolidations built by Alco for the PRR. By now, it has the major improvements developed over the years already built into it giving it a smoother, more solid look. Thanks to Warren Evans (see comment below), the exact location has been identified as the Rose Lake engine house in East St. Loius, Illinois, the last PRR yard and engine house in Illinois before crossing the Mississippi River into St. Louis, Mo.
